Proposal writing intern

Our NGO has the following internship opportunities tenable in Malawi. Please note that these internships are only available in Lilongwe. We will review applications on a rolling basis and the successful candidate may be selected before the closing date

Introduction

Urunji Child-Care Trust seeks to recruit an intern who will focus on proposal writing and grant research. S-he will be available in person at our Lilongwe office and will work 5 days a week. This is a paid internship opportunity and the following are the job demands:

Grant research

You will be responsible to researching grant opportunities and sharing with the team

Grant writing

You will draft funding and project proposals, and share them with the Partnerships Manager

Data management

You will compile data on grants, keeping track of funders we have already reached out to

Provide support

You will perform any other duties as assigned to from time to time by the immediate supervisor

The ideal candidate must be pursuing a tertiary qualification in social work, rural development or equivalent from a recognised institution, and:


* Not have any criminal record
* Have an excellent command of spoken and written English
* Be well-organised and able to meet deadlines
* Have excellent interpersonal skills and able to relate to both social and corporate contacts

The successful candidate will be offered a stipend of MWK 200,000 per month. Urunji may consider permanent employment and a higher salary for a candidate who exceeds expectations, inline with our pay structure.
