Financial review 2025

At Urunji, we believe in more than simply doing good—we believe in doing good well.

Since 2016, Urunji has worked with LPH Chartered Accountants, a highly respected South African audit firm.

Most recently, on 2 October 2025, LPH completed our independent financial review with financial support from Masana wa Afrika. Their findings reaffirm what we already know: our financial systems are not just good—they are robust, built on strong internal controls, and consistently exceed both statutory obligations and international best practices.

As a donor, this is what you deserve to know: every dollar, every Kwacha you entrust to Urunji is managed with integrity, efficiency, and with measurable impact. Your gift goes further, doing more, because we uphold transparency at every stage.

What Donors Gain — and What Children Receive

1. Confidence and assurance

Because Urunji is independently reviewed, you can be confident your donation is used as intended. Audit, accounting, and financial controls are not afterthoughts—they are central to how Urunji operates.

2. Efficiency and value

Strong internal systems mean less waste, overheads kept low, and more of your contribution going directly to life-changing programmes. This means more nets, more school fees, more seed, more meals per dollar donated.

3. Measurable impact

You can see what your donation does. Whether it is protecting a child from malaria, enabling a family to plant crops, or sending a girl to school, Urunji makes sure every intervention is tracked and its outcomes measured.

How you could join

If you are considering supporting Urunji, here are a few ways to make your contribution go further:

Monthly giving

Even small amounts, spread over time, provide sustainable predictability.

Project-specific gifts

Specify if you want to support school fees, health, agriculture, etc. Seeing exactly where your money is used tends to strengthen connection and trust.

Matching gifts or challenges

If you can mobilize others (friends, colleagues, foundations) to match your gift, you double the impact. Spreading the word: Telling others about Urunji’s audited, transparent work encourages more donors: more donors = more impact.
