Universal health for all
Health and Nutrition Programme
Our health and nutrition programme encompasses core areas as follows:
- School feeding
- Malaria prevention
- Vitamin supplements for children
- Water, sanitation & Hygiene
- Mental health
- Wellness
- Palliative care
- Support for non-communicable diseases
Objective(s)
Our health and nutrition programme takes a holistic approach: We provide nutritious meals to school-going children as well as:
- Reduction of stunting: we train communities on food fortification to reduce stunting in children. Stunting is a condition where a child is too short for their age and is a consequence of malnutrition.
- Rehabilitation of children who are suffering from wasting. This is a condition where a child is underweight for their age, again a consequence of malnutrition.
- Case referrals for severely malnourished children.
