School feeding in Malawi
Urunji School Feeding Programme
Our primary school feeding programme in Malawi focuses on two areas, namely:
- Provision of fortified porridge to school-going children.
- Provision of lunch to students who are in senior primary school at selected schools.
We run and support programmes at Mjolo School, Mwatibu School, Nyama School and Chilembwe School respectively. Being home-grown school feeding programmes, they support local farmers and their local economies.
We work with community volunteers who are our village champions. They mobilize the human capital and we provide the resources. together, we overcome barriers to education in rural Malawi.
